Our tea is held each year on the second Saturday of November. Mark your calendars for this year: November 14th, 2020.
The Tea is a unique time to make new friends in a lovely setting. It’s open to women, men, and children of all ages…basically, anyone old enough to sit still at the table for the event!
Share and enjoy:
- A silent auction
- Door prizes
- The chance to pick up estate/gently used jewelry and accessories for nominal donations.
- A pampered feeling at your hostess’ caringly appointed table
- A delightful time with family, friends and new acquaintances.
The inaugural 2019 Tea was packed with over 70 guests and raised much to help supplement the important work of LWVJA. Students from the Heritage Center at Jackson College graciously attended to the guests.
Start saving your jewelry and accessories
We collect items all year for the silent auction and donation drive. Have a fancy evening bag, scarves, handkerchiefs, or any kind of jewelry that you just don’t use? What about that costume necklace from Aunt Sadie that doesn’t match your style; or Uncle Henry’s old stick pin or ring? Artifacts like statues, framed art, and even unused gift certificates are wonderful, too. Ask your friends and neighbors if they’ve got items they don’t use. So many accessories have life left to give, making the Tea–in addition to a relaxing time–a truly “green” event. Contact us to donate or bring donations to any League Meeting.
