LWVJA Candidate Forums
The League is nonpartisan and NEVER supports or opposes political candidates. Members are encouraged to be politically active and participate in our democratic process. Since 2015 the League of Women Voters of Jackson has sponsored events designed to help citizens better understand policy issues. Candidates for offices are invited to participate.
During 2020 we held four forums virtually and interested voters were able to send in questions ahead of the Forum. The forums received very high views on demand. We are limited only by our resources in the amount of forums we are able to hold. Over six years, we have held candidate forums for:

The elections in 2021 are generally local such as Jackson City Council and potential ballot initiatives.
2021 Candidate Forums will be held either in person or online, depending on the community needs related to COVID precautions. This site will be updated as the election dates get closer.
