Meeting With Jackson College Heritage Center Students

LWVJA Board Members Mary Lee Clark and Linda Furgason met with Jackson College Heritage Center Students Abby Frew, Kaitlynn Lowe and Cierra Graham to discuss participation in League activities. Seven Jackson College students are members of our local League.

Areas for student participation discussed at the lunch meeting included the Fall Friend-Raiser Tea, archival interviews with long-time League members, U.S. Census – efforts to touch base with hard-to-reach populations, support for League media efforts and development of a short “What is Democracy” program for grade school students.

Any student interested in the League and our activities may reach us via our Contact Page.
